The Eden Project started The Big Lunch in the belief that we, as a society, are better equipped to tackle the challenges that we face when we face them together. The Big Lunch team are passionate about bringing The Big Lunch to streets and communities across the UK, encouraging friendlier, more supportive, inclusive and sustainable communities. The Big Lunch team members are based at the Eden Project and in London, Belfast and Glasgow. The Big Lunch Project Manager, Eden Project Office
Splitting her time between the Eden Project in Cornwall and our office in London, Emily manages The Big Lunch campaign and heads up the wonderful Big Lunch team. She works closely with our funders and partners, PR, digital and design teams to ensure The Big Lunch machine runs as smoothly as possible - and still manages to fit in runs on the beach and post-work surfs when she can.

Based in our London office Kate leads our social marketing and communications activity for England and is also chief copy writer for our lovely materials and e-newsletters. Working on The Big Lunch since 2009 Kate has worked closely with housing associations and councils across the UK for several years and is our resident expert in everything to do with road closures. When she does have a few moments to spare Kate runs regularly and takes part in half marathons.

Splitting her time between working from home, the Big Lottery Fund's offices in Belfast and being out on the road, Grainne spearheads The Big Lunch campaign in Northern Ireland. Returning to her homeland to bring up her young sons after more than 10 years in Government Communication at Whitehall, London, Grainne is passionate about bringing The Big Lunch to more Northern Irish communities. With a huge increase in the numbers of events in Northern Ireland in 2012 Grainne is keen to bring The Big Lunch to even more neighbourhoods.

Based in our funders the Big Lottery Fund's offices in Glasgow and often out and about, Emily is at the forefront of our Big Lunch Scotland campaign. Joining us in autumn 2011 with tons of experience working with the voluntary sector and community groups across Scotland she's certain that 2013 will be the biggest year yet for Scottish Big Lunches. When not encouraging folk to get out and enjoy meeting their neighbours, Emily gets out with her family and enjoys the hills, or proudly tends her own wee veg patch.

Camilla is our resident events expert and has promoted The Big Lunch at conferences far and wide - from housing conferences in mid-Wales to food festivals in the midlands. Milly also heads up our internship programme and will be working with our interns to promote The Big Lunch to councils, housing associations and Charities across the UK.

Working in Glasgow with the lovely Emily Watts, Emma supports The Big Lunch Scotland campaign- from contacting councils, to blogging and attending events. Looking towards The Big Lunch 2013, she will be trying to gain further support from councils and charities as well as focusing on getting lots of Big Lunches happening in Universities across Scotland. She’s also a big foodie and is playing music whenever she can!

Web content expert Fay works closely with our digital team to make our website as fun and functional as possible. She also has an unrivalled knowledge of past Big Lunches and works with our PR team to supply case studies and generate media stories. She looks after partnerships with charities and faith, food and housing organisations to maximise the reach of The Big Lunch. Out of the office you can find Fay experimenting with the latest contents of her veg box and writing her own food blog.

Regularly knee deep in designs for Big Lunch leaflets and posters, Trudi is the central point of co-ordination for Big Lunch packs. Based at Eden Project in Cornwall, she also leads the promotion and engagement of The Big Lunch amongst local communities and on site. Organising the logistics she is the first point of contact for finance, statistical or data related questions. Trudi is passionate about spreading word out to communities in Wales, and is working with various organisations and community groups to promote the campaign across the country. A pro at creating her own homemade chutney, Trudi shares her favourite recipe, decoration and activity tips on The Big Lunch blog.
