When you are on The Big Lunch website and are asked for personal information by The Big Lunch, you are sharing that information with The Big Lunch team alone, for the purposes of the successful running of the event. Unless it is specifically stated otherwise – as in during the registration process, where there is an opt-out – we will not pass your name or email address to third parties, including organisations and companies that are partnering with or supporting The Big Lunch.
The Big Lunch collects information in a variety of ways from different parts of the service. Some information is gathered when you register. During registration to organise or attend a Big Lunch, The Big Lunch asks for your name, email address, postcode and interests.
As stated at the point of registration, if you register to organise a Big Lunch you agree to receive emails from The Big Lunch who will pass on the details of Big Lunch attendees. If you choose to attend a Big Lunch, as stated at the point of registration, we will pass your name and email address to the organiser of that Big Lunch. By registering, you agree to share your email and name with the organiser of your Big Lunch.
The Big Lunch will email people who have registered on an ongoing basis, so that the team can help with the successful running of Big Lunch events nationwide. However, if you do not wish to receive future mailings, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link included on all communications.
The Big Lunch also occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. If you would like to opt out of receiving these emails at any time or report misuse please contact The Big Lunch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When/if you contact The Big Lunch, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
As a general rule, The Big Lunch will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it. The Big Lunch will protect confidentiality and security of that information, and not allow third parties to use that information other than in connection with the provisions compatible with The Big Lunch event.
The Big Lunch may preserve Content and may disclose Content to any third party if required to do so by law or in good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is necessary to:
